My Inventions offers a deck for the autobiography of an unattained genius whose countless inventions and astonishing ethical stance echo into timelessness. The great Tesla was born into an age that was enriching knowledge of electrical and magnetic phenomena with lightning speed. The epitome of the creative spirit and of superhuman agility - the holder of a plethora of patents - he is undiminished in his relevance today; with a consistently honest attitude, backed by an unshakeable faith in the Good, he made modern industrialisation possible with the alternating current system, or, as physicist and inventor Andrej Detela writes in the accompanying foreword, virtually invented the twentieth century.

The book is fully bilingual; alongside the original, which Tesla wrote in English, we also read the text in Slovenian translation.

The biography is accompanied by photographs and sketches of his inventions and a comprehensive foreword by physicist, inventor, writer, travel writer and expert on Nikola Tesla's work, Andrej Detela.

Our first attempts are purely instinctive, flashes of vivid and untamed imagination. As the years go by and reason takes hold, we become more and more systematic and deliberate. But these early impulses, which are not directly productive, are the most important and can have a fatal influence on our later destiny. Indeed, I feel today that if I had understood and encouraged them instead of repressing them, my legacy would have been considerably richer. But I had to cross the threshold of adulthood first, and only then did I realise that I was an inventor.
