WHY SANJE BOOK FAMILY?

Because we want to connect with book lovers all over Slovenia and the world. Because we want to maintain and nurture direct connections with our readers and co-creators - without intermediaries. We especially want to avoid intermediaries who profit from our information or yours, and share the benefits with no one but themselves. Because we at Sanje do not want to profit from anyone - but we do want to continue to create valuable and important books that help us navigate an increasingly crazy and inhuman world.

That's why, years ago, when it became clear that more and more barriers were being put between us and readers - for example, by the cancellation and destruction of programmes and columns about books and reading in the media, by the increasingly brazen manipulation of algorithms by internet giants, etc. - we founded the Sanje Book Club.

We have now renamed it the Sanje Book Family (hereafter: SBF).

SBF brings benefits and privileges to every lover of good literature and music in Slovenia and abroad. SBF members are informed first-hand about new projects - books and events - from one of the most renowned book and music publishers in Slovenia. You will receive the greatest benefits, discounts and privileges exclusively for SBF members. We will soon start rewarding your loyalty further. All this without any material obligations.

And why does your membership mean so much to us?

Because we operate in one of the smallest and therefore most expensive book and music markets in Europe, and because we are working in a time when good books or music is less and less something that mainstream newsagents and chain stores are interested in. Which means that projects that take a team of people months to conceive have a particularly difficult task ahead of them in that they have to fulfil their mission and reach those they are intended for, their readers and listeners. That is why contact with you means so much to us. That's why SBF is wide open to everyone who loves a good book and good music. More and more of us are realising that membership pays off. You can also join when you buy from our bookshop, The House of Dreaming Books, or in person at Sanje headquarters.

SANJE BOOK FAMILY RULES AND CONDITIONS

The aim of the SBF is to provide its readers with the possibility to keep up-to-date with new releases and other projects of Sanje Publishing and to offer the possibility to buy at a better price.
Members of Sanje Book Family are entitled to the Sanje price on almost all products - which is reduced by 10% compared to the regular price, and up to 90% for some books. The only exception are books for which the Fixed Price Law stipulates that they may not be sold at reduced prices for 6 months after publication. Exceptions may also be made for certain pre-order offers or sales promotions.

A member of the Sanje Book Family can claim the discount in the following ways:

when purchasing through the online bookstore,
when buying from the House of Dreaming Books bookshop,
by email order (contact@sanje.si),

or from an authorised representative of the publisher.

The only obligation of a member of the Sanje Book Family is not to object to receiving presentation materials from Sanje Publishing. This is mainly to receive the newsletter, which is sent once a week, sometimes less, sometimes more.

Protection of personal data

We store your personal data in accordance with the law and under no circumstances will we disclose it to third parties.
The Member authorises Sanje Publishing to establish, keep, maintain and manage the Member's personal data. Sanje Publishing undertakes not to pass on customer data to any third party under any circumstances and to handle members' data in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 59/99, 57/01) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Members are also entitled to all the rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

The SBF member authorises the storage and use of his/her address for the sole purpose of informing about the activities of Sanje Publishing, namely: informing about the preparation and publication of books, informing about events related to books, their authors, informing about the activities of the Sanje Festival, Sanje in Medana and the Book Night, and about sales promotions. We keep membership data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was processed or until the membership is terminated. They are then deleted immediately. If there is a company and/or tax obligation to retain the data, it will be deleted after 5 years, unless otherwise stipulated by law.

Termination of membership

A member may terminate their membership in SBF at any time by notifying Sanje Publishing in writing (contact address: contact@sanje.si).

Other provisions

When purchasing through the Sanje Online Bookstore, Members are also subject to the TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SHOPPING AT THE SANJE ONLINE BOOKSTORE.
